I have been consulting with Laurie Monteleone since the spring of 2001 when I was a few months pregnant with my daughter. I initially sought out Laurie's feedback regarding my MD's recommendation for controlling ongoing vaginal yeast infections. What started out as a casual request for Laurie's thoughts and suggestions turned out to be one of the most important steps towards my overall healing. I now can see and feel the relationship between my physical symptoms and emotional states much more clearly than ever before. I still don't understand homeopathy fully, yet; what I do know is that homeopathy works for me.

Since about the early 1990s I had experienced chronic pain, digestive problems and irritable bowel symptoms, including many other symptoms such as sinus infections and allergy-related problems that seemeed to worsen over time. I had attempted using conventional western medicine often using various medications that would bring on more symptoms with no lasting results. I began to believe what a couple MD's had told me was my fate "this is the way your body is, you'll just have to get used to it...." Then I became adamant that my discomfort was not normal or acceptable. Years later, I finally had the good fortune of meeting Laurie and there began a relationship for which I am absolutely thankful.

Without Laurie's help I undoubtedly would have continued to live with physical symptoms and little recourse in the form of prescription drugs and over-the-counter medicines that did nothing to remedy the root of the symptoms. I honestly never anticipated seeking out homeopathy given that I wanted a magic pill or remedy. I also did not anticipate the deep healing that homeopathy provides. I am certan that because of homeopathy I have experienced so many positive changes in my health.

I am so happy to say that my journey with homeopathy has helped me to understand that I need to tune in and connect with my body rather than resist and fight the symptoms so I can help myself heal. Despite feeling some discomfort and a worsening of symptoms at times while using homeopathy, I now realize that these are indications that I am healing and becoming healthier.

I am also glad to say that I now detect the onset of new symptoms earlier on without the worry and apprehension that I need to run to my formerly replete medicine cabinet. This is because I now am more tuned in to my body's messages and I am no longer ignoring these little clues so that my discomfort grows to the point where I feel I need pain relief medicine.
