What type of training do you have?

My education at AUCM was a four year part time program which included standard homeopathic training (principles of classical homeopathy, case taking, materia medica, repertory, case management, etc) as well as a curriculum in western medicine and holistic studies.

Note that the focus of my western medical training has not been to be able to diagnose, but rather to be able to assist my clients in recognizing symptoms that may require further testing by a medical doctor, as well as situations that may require the immediate attention of an MD and/or emergency facility.

My training also includes an MBA from the UCLA Anderson school and a BS in Electrical Engineering from UCSB. My education in electrical engineering serves me as a homeopath in that it gives me insight into the physics of how the body heals itself and how homeopathy can be used to facilitate this process.

To qualify for the exam, the homeopath must have at least 500 hours of formal classroom training in homeopathy, at least two years of experience as a practicing homeopath, write-up of five homeopathic cases that have been managed for at least six months, and completion of core classes in western medicine.

Since most states in the US do not license homeopathy, the CHC serves as a self-regulating organization - offering the homeopathic community a method of recognizing individuals who have attained a level of education and experience. This effort has served to help standardize homeopathic education across the country, as well as the level of expertise expected of a practicing homeopath.

Note that the CHC credential does not serve as a license to practice medicine. It simply verifies that an individual has attained a level of competency as a classical homeopath.

That being said, I'll clarify which types of clients I work with.

I tend to work with conditions that are chronic in nature and that are within my areas of expertise. This includes conditions that are relatively stable (in a medical sense) and that do not require the individual to be on heavy medications.

In all cases, I require that the client be under the care of an MD. In cases of serious mental/emotional distress (e.g. advanced suicidal depression), I require that the individual be under the care of a psychotherapist and/or psychiatrist.

In the past thirteen years, I've had experience in working with many types of people, and correspondingly many symptom pictures which can be labeled as "conditions."

This includes: low self esteem, addiction (food, work, alcohol, drugs), lack of clarity about one's purpose, depression, panic attacks, post traumatic stress disorder, claustrophobia, fear of poverty, grief, confusion, sinusitis, hay fever, headaches, arthritis, chronic fatigue, shingles, ADD, ADHD, autistic spectrum disorder, meinere's syndrome, digestive problems, menstrual pain, impotence, chronic skin problems, heart disease, heavy metal toxicity, pre-cancer/cancer predisposition, and pre/early stage auto immune illnesses such as MS, Lupus, and rheumatoid arthritis.

I've also down a lot of work in recent years in helping individuals heal matters of the heart - that is, resolving blocks that may be preventing them from resonating with and attracting a healthy significant other relationship and soul connection.
